Input and output characteristics of a transistor in Common Collector configuration

Common collector configuration, As we know collector is kept common to both input and output terminals.

To draw input and output characteristics of Common collector. The circuit diagram is given as follows

input characteristics:-

These are in between input current  (I_B) Vs input voltage (V_BC) with output voltage (V_EC) as kept constant.

To obtain input characteristics , V_EC is kept constant and V_BC is increased in equal steps and the corresponding increase in I_B is noted and the same procedure is repeated for different values of V_EC and the characteristics are shown in the previous figure.

output characteristics:-

The output characteristics are obtained by keeping input current as constant (I_B = constant)  and the output voltage V_EC is increased in suitable steps and the corresponding output current I_E is noted down.

This is repeated for different values of I_B .
